How does SnoozeShade for Cribs work? This portable blackout canopy fits easily over standard-size cribs, larger travel cribs, and mini cot beds that take a mattress sized 120cm x 60cm.
Made from air-permeable fabric that lets air flow freely, it safely blocks out 94% of light and blurs distractions, creating a cozy space for your baby or toddler and helping them switch off and go to sleep – even in unfamiliar or bright surroundings. It's a must-have accessory for staying away from home, sleeping in a room without curtains or blinds, or room-sharing with the rest of the family on vacation.
What age is it suitable for? SnoozeShade for Cribs is suitable from birth and can be used right up until your child outgrows their crib.
Will it help my child sleep? The science behind SnoozeShade for Cribs is all about encouraging deep and restful sleep. Our unique fabric creates a comfortingly dark space – even if you have a light on in the room – which boosts melatonin (the sleepy hormone) and helps children drift off to sleep. When they naturally stir between sleep cycles, the distraction-blurring mesh prevents them from latching on to visual stimuli (such as another family member moving in the room) that may cause them to wake up fully. SnoozeShade fabric also offers protection from insects like mosquitoes, making it ideal for the summer months and trips abroad.
What are the side windows for? SnoozeShade for Cribs features two single-layer mesh windows (one at either side), complete with adjustable blackout flaps. You can choose to cover both windows completely for maximum darkness, or roll up one or both of the outer flaps and secure them with our baby-safe snaps. This allows you to adjust the light levels inside the crib to suit your child.
What's the top panel for? When fully open, the top panel creates a large opening for lifting your child in and out of their crib. It features a two-way zipper that can be closed completely for sleeping and partially opened when you want to check on your little one without letting in too much light and disturbing them. If you want to leave the top panel open, you can fold it into the integrated pocket to keep it safely tucked away.
Is SnoozeShade for Cribs easily portable? Yes! It packs down into a handy storage bag (free with every order) and is super lightweight, with no complicated attachments to carry with you. It weighs just 1.1kg and is small enough to pop in your suitcase without taking up much room at all.
Is it machine-washable? Of course – it was invented by a mom! All SnoozeShades are machine-washable at 30° and can be tumble-dried on low heat.
Will it fit my crib? SnoozeShade for Cribs fits all standard-size cribs, larger travel cribs, and mini cot beds. The size of your mattress is the important bit! If your mattress measures up to 120 x 60cm, SnoozeShade for Cribs will fit.
If you have a smaller travel crib or one of the triangular-style options with a mattress up to 95 x 65cm, you'll find SnoozeShade for Pack ‘n Plays a better fit.
Please note: SnoozeShade for Cribs does NOT fit cribs that take a 140cm x 70cm mattress.
How does it attach to my crib? It's fast and effortless to fit. Here are our top tips:
1. Throw it over your crib, ensuring the section with the large panel is at the top.
2. Pull it down around all sides of the crib frame.
3. Attach the stretchy straps around the feet or wheels of your crib. Make sure the Velcro pads overlap to form a loop.

We have 3 cats and a 4 month old baby, it is always our fear they will try to sleep with him, however with the cot cover we can sleep with ease, as it allows our baby the freedom of a cot, but the assurance the cats wont be able to get in with him. The only thing to note is that it is a soft cover so if the cats jump on top they will still be able to sit on him, but this isn't a problem we have faced. The black out level is perfect as it allows our baby to get to bed before we do.

We are really pleased with our cot shade. We have black-out lining at home and were nervous about the situation on holiday. When we first got it we were really worried that it wouldn't work or that he'd feel claustrophobic. Thankfully though it worked really well. Despite our baby's room being really bright, he slept very well. We've even ordered one for our cot at home now because we've noticed he's been sleeping less well since we got back. Despite the black out curtains, we can't quite reproduce the same level of darkness! So that's defnitely a testament to the cot shade :-)

Recently taken my little boy on his first holiday. He is used to sleeping in total darkness in his own room so was nervous about being elsewhere. Snoozeshade has been AMAZING! He has settled no problem at all and I’ve been able to move around the room with lights on without disturbing him. But for me the best thing about the Snoozeshade is the customer service, I cannot fault the team at all. They have been incredibly helpful when my parcel got mixed up and made sure I had my snoozeshade before my holiday. 10/10!
